In case there are those who don't frequent sites like DVD Talk, AVS, etc, starting either today (Sunday) or Tuesday (Best Buy apparently pushed the date back), Best Buy will have some exclusive Blu-rays on sale. Some are set for release on October 5th but there are a few that have no release date as of yet including:

- Anchorman (this includes Wake Up, Ron Burgundy feature in HD). This one is supposed to come out January, 2011
- Deep Blue Sea
- The Score

They also have BDs set for release on Oct. 5th:
- 2001 Maniacs ($7.99 per BestBuy.com)
- Bad Lieutenant
- The Blair Witch Project
- Hard Candy
- High Tension ($7.99 per BestBuy.com)
- Open Water/Open Water 2 Double Feature ($7.99 per BestBuy.com)
- Secretary
- Wonderland ($7.99 per BestBuy.com)

Picked up Anchorman and Deep Blue Sea this morning. Will head back for a few others either tonight or tomorrow (I forgot my iPhone and was unable to look up a few things before I bought).

Here are a few of the missing prices (for this week) I saw:

Anchorman: $19.99
Deep Blue Sea: $12.99
The Score: $14.99
Bad Lieutenant: $9.99
Hard Candy: $9.99

I picked up Deep Blue Sea. There was just one copy on the shelf at this local store.

I also picked up Deep Blue Sea (the store didn't have it with the other exclusives, just with the others in alphabetical order) as well as Secretary, Hard Candy, The Score, Anchorman (the DVD with Wake Up, Ron Burgundy is selling for at least $25, so $20 for it and in HD is a good deal IMO), High Tension and Open Water 1 & 2.

I was going to hold off on The Score and Deep Blue Sea until I realized neither have a release date and who knows when Paramount and Warner (respectively) will actually release them to other stores.

I picked up Blair Witch Project, Bad Lieutenant and Haute Tension.

I'll probably pick some more up Friday when I get paid. Great prices.

Grabbed Bad Lieutenant, High Tension , 2001 Maniacs and Deep Blue Sea.

Watched Bad Lieutenant yesterday and while I never saw the SE dvd, this tops the old NC-17 dvd by miles. I did not think the movie could look this good, esp. after watching the making of and seeing how they didn't permits or lights. Some shots are still rough, but most are beauty. Never once noticed anything look waxy either.

I got too caught up with work stuff to watch any yesterday, but I can't wait to get into High Tension. That's a beautifully shot movie already, and if it's a great transfer it going to be a treat.

Deep Blue Sea looks great most of the way, although some shots are kinda soft, much softer than I recall seeing in the theater, but back then I wasn't for technical stuff either and maybe mistaken.

2001 Maniacs looks as good as it can, I noted nothing wrong with that BD's picture or sound. Shame the movie wasn't quite as fun on repeated viewings. I still love it, just not as much as I thought I did.
