| Posted: | | | | Where's a Muppet's Christmas Carol Even though they butchered the film on DVD by cutting out the very reason why Scrooge was so cruel |

| Posted: | | | | If you get a chance, get Shrek the Halls. I bought it this year as it finally came down in price. Very short (comes in at about 21 mins), but very funny! Helps that I got an orange kitty this year who acts very much like Puss in Boots when he comes to visit in this video. This will definitely become a yearly tradition with me! This year, I've already watched Shrek the Halls, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (along with Horton Hears a Who), SNL: Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, Frosty Returns, and Darkwing Duck: It's a Wonderful Leaf. Kind of in the mood for Christmas this year. One of the odder ones I watch every year is Pee Wee's Playhouse: Christmas Special. Almost any famous celebrity of the time is in it. It's wacky and fun. | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | and if you really want to get sentimental for Christmas and want to enjoy a great musical, widescreen presentation (of my annual favorite) check out Scrooge (1970) with Albert Finney as a wonderful old Ebeneezer and the music is done in fine taste and the 'sets' look to me like they are right out of Oliver from a couple years before .. You can check out three dates of playing the title in December on TCM ... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

I'm sure it's different in different areas, but our local station seems to play a little of everything. Classics (Bing Crosby) and newer releases as well. But they seem to get stuck playing the same 50-60 songs over and over again for over a month (starts well before Thanksgiving and goes through Christmas). They play just instrumental music like Mannheim Steamrollers as well. I want to try to watch a lot of my movies this month as well. But I go through phases so one day I'll watch a bunch then not watch for a week. But I do hope to watch a bunch of the ones I haven't gotten to the last couple years. I haven't watched the Santa Clauses recently, plus I just bought a few new ones...Babes in Toyland, Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus, Most Wonderful Time of the Year and yes, I like sappy movies for Christmas! | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | I thought about joining in, but unfortunately two of the most anticipated games (for me) have just been released (Fallout: New Vegas and Assassins Creed: Brotherhood) and next week the Tron game is being released. As a result, my movie watching has taken a major hit and my TiVos are filling up. |
