| Posted: | | | | Is it possible to sync the I-Pad app to the DVD Profiler database on my PC using the I-Pad cable? If so please give step by step instructions as I am no tech. If that can not be done. Is it possible to sync with my data stored in the Invelos web site? Again please give step by step instructions. Any help is welcome! Thank you in advance. | Posted: | | | | Syncing via cable is not possible. I believe Apple doesn't allow that.
Syncing with the online database is not possible yet. It has been announced as an upcoming feature. |

| Posted: | | | | It's possible to do some transfer from iPad/iPhone and your Mac or PC but you need to use iTunes to do it. So what it could be possible and maybe help lot of users having issue with the sync over Wifi is that DVD Profiler create an archive file like a backup and you copy this file on your iPhone/iPad and when you start the iOS application, the archive is imported.
Collectorz iOS apps use this kind of import in more the Wifi sync. | | | Regards Cyrille |

Cyrillie, thank you for your post, however I am still just a little confused, I do understand that I can transfer some file types to the I pad using I-Tunes but I do not see any import data choice in the menu of the I-Pad IOS. I sort of understand your idea of getting the data over but can you give detailed step by step instructions on how to do this? So far I have not been able to get I-Tunes to see a back up copy of my database. Thanks in advance. Michael Papa_bearxyz1@yahoo.com |

| Posted: | | | | You don't see any import data option because that option does not exist.
I suppose what Cyrille meant is that some programs let you copy files from your iOS device to your computer and vice versa. For example you can transfer documents like that with the iWork apps or savegames in Broken Sword. This is not currently supported by DVD Profiler. However there is already a feature request for this in the appropriate forum. In any case, this won't enable you to sync the devices. You could only transfer a database from one device to another. |

| Posted: | | | | Yes sorry for the misunderstanding. What I have explained is that is could be done but for the moment it's not implemented into DVD Profiler iOS. Maybe in a next release. This kind of feature could be useful for synchro between PC/Mac -> iPhone/iPad but for the synchro iPhone/iPad -> PC/Mac it's not so easy but it's just a personal opinion | | | Regards Cyrille |
