If it's just a surface scratch it will be fine. Blu-ray has a hard coat on the surface. You can have a DVD disc etched with surface scratches.

But unless those scratches make a like a complete circle the data is not affected.

Try watching it to see if it's an issue. Like CD's and DVD's, the data on the disc is created with redundancy - multiple copies - so if one spot is unreadable, it tries the backup.

Giving it a good clean may help solve at least some of the problems, if any occur at all.

Also, make sure your nephew never, ever can get his hands on your collection
Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer.

Best advice I've hear yet

Blu-rays are also more scratch resistant than DVD's, so there's a good chance the disc will play without problems. If there are, maybe cleaning it with a dry cloth can help.

Before you laugh, this has actually worked for me on DVDs. I haven't had to try it on BRD yet. If it's skipping, freezing or pixelating, use a disc cleaner or wipe the playing surface on a dry soft surface such as a terrycloth towel or cotton shirt. With your little finger, get some skin oil by rubbing the end up and down where the nose and cheek meet, down by your lip. Rub lightly in the direction of scratch and try playing again...don't wipe it off. The next time you go to play it, do it again before playing. It has actually worked for me.

If it still skips and you can acquire some jewelers rouge, you can try polishing the scratch out...gently. This would probably be a one time deal.

In either case, you can't really hurt it if it's already broken. Good luck.
