| Posted: | | | | OK, I know that Digital Copies are not favored by many here, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask for help here on this one. I can not for the life of me get the Digital Copy of Inception to download. I have the 3-disc Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy version (as I'm sure many here do), but I can't tell if the Digital Copy for this one is physically on one of the discs or if it's strictly downloaded. It doesn't appear to be on the 1 DVD disc in the set, so I'm assuming the Digital Copy is downloaded. I've followed the steps on the insert, installed the (stupid) WB Digital Manager, which I already actually had thanks to either The Dark Knight or Terminator Salvation. But, when I click the "Start Transfer" button, nothing happens. Anyone else run into this? I'm trying to get the Window Media version, not the iTunes version, if that makes a difference. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | I had not been thru this before, so I thought I would try it with my copy of Inception. It is downloading now. I did notice after clicking the download that it was a bit confusing to see what was going on. First of all, this commercial started. When That was done, I decided to close that window. On the lower window, there was a "Downloads" under My Library. When I clicked on it, again it looked like nothing was happening. But whenevr the mouse was hovering over the progress bar, I could see the status, and finally after about 2%, the progress bar showed some green. Now up to about 43%. I assume it will finish up - I was about to go to bed when I saw your post and got curious.
I hope you have success. I'll check back after breakfast tomorrow - hopefully mine will also be done by then. It is a 1.49GB wmv file. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | I have the UK set and for that one I seem to remember it was a download from iTunes. Most movies come on a Digital Copy disc, but I have had one or two others that required a lengthy download as well. I recently decided copy all digital copies to my iTunes as well. Two or three of mine had already expired ; another one could not be accessed anymore otherwise (I forgot the exact issue). I thought having them there now doesn't hurt, in case I ever want to use them (e.g. on my iPad), once they expire you cannot do so anymore. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. After clicking the Start Transfer, the 2 windows opened up but nothing more. The bottom window, the Digital Manager, just showed The Dark Knight & Terminator Salvation, nothing under Downloads. The top window just stayed black, even after waiting 10-15 minutes. Pushing the Play button did nothing either. I am connected to the net via broadband (Comcast), as I was also surfing around at the same time, so I know it's not a connection issue. It could be a connection issue with the WB servers though, as when I tried to fill out a help request thru the Digital Manager, it kept telling me to make sure I was connected to the internet & try again, even though I was. Maybe I should've brought my laptop with me to work & tried from here? | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

I was able to transfer a few that had codes that expired a year earlier, but still worked fine. The only Digital Copies I haven't transferred were ones to series that only the most recent ones were available, ie Harry Potter 1-4 have no Digital Copies but 5 & 6 do (I guess Terminator Salvation would be the exception, but the Terminator movies have such large time gaps between them it almost stands on it's own, whereas as series like Harry Potter is more progressive) | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | Looks like this may take a little time. My download code is locked out (again) as having already been used, even though the actual download never started. The automated system only allows for 1 reset of the code, which I had already done. I have sent WB a support request to resolve my issues and the canned response was they'd get back to me within 5 business days. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | I don't trust any of this software at all. A lot of it installs DRM software that sometimes turns out to be spyware or malware. And, it's buggy and often doesn't work (as evidenced by this thread).
If you have a DVD, simply use CloneDVDMobile and AnyDVD to make your own DRM and bug free "digital copy" that you can play on whatever you want. | | | 99.9% of all cat plans consist only of "Step 1." |

| Posted: | | | | I finally got it working. WB reset my code again and said to uninstall the Digital Manager & reinstall it. That seemed to do the trick, as the Digital Copy is now downloading. It's also downloading quicker than I expected...I started about 5-7 minutes ago and it's already at 40%. I do find it rather annoying to have the Digital Manager at all. Granted, I see their point and what they're trying to do, but I haven't run into any other company that forces any kind of software on you to use the Digital Copy, and even earlier WB titles didn't force it either. In any case, it looks like I'm now all set. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |
