| Posted: | | | | When editing a profile cast list, and right clicks on the left cast list (those not in the movie), you can choose delete on a specific person. If it is in use, it will say that the person is assigned to movie "x" and cannot be deleted. If you just press delete on the keyboard in stead, it will ask if I'm sure and just delete it if I press OK, even though it might be assigned to a credit. Not good. Haven't tried if it is the same thing in the Crew part.
When that is said, I'd like to see a feature that cleans up the person databases and deletes unused persons (cast/crew).

| Posted: | | | | I have just noticed this too. I now have a whole stack of Friends DVDs with Monica Gellar/Bing played by a blank space. If I recall correctly, Ken said elsewhere that the database repair utility now removes all unused cast/crew from the database. Of course not recommended right now due to the known issues with it. | | | Andy

| Posted: | | | | I found that the other night whilst assigning head shots if the actor in the database was incorrectly named ie first name in the surname field and last name in the middle name field, and I tried to delete I got the same message. I just went to said film, removed erroneous spelt actor from the credits, re-assigned using the corrected name field positioned actor, then deleted the incorrect one with no trouble, can't remeber exact actors now but two of them where in Born on the Fourth of July Region 2 UK locality EAN 5-035822-003040.
But as said once I replaced said actor/s with corrected parsed, deletion no problem.

| Posted: | | | | The issue is/was not that you could not delete incorrect names, but that you could delete them when they were still assigned to dvds. So you end up with "<blank> as <role name>" in the cast lists.
Previous versions forced you to remove the incorrect from all profiles before it was possible to delete them, not by pressing the keyboard delete key, they just go.
Not looked at the Beta yet to see if this is resolved - hope so. | | | Andy
