Forget Avatar and all that 3D nonsense. Enjoy the far more cinematically important Becky Sharp. The first film to shot using 3 strip technicolor.

No, the restored version is not released, the not-restored version is for sale at Alpha Video f.i. Maybe Kino Video or someone else will release the UCLA version in the future. Kino Video will release another early colour film on 12/22/2011: Nothing Sacred on Blu Ray. Like Becky Sharp it's in the public domain.

If you like the story of Becky Sharp check out the 1998 BBC TV version of Vanity Fair. It's quite hilarious most of the time, great role by Natasha Little.
