I've got some discs with alcohol pen writing that I'm having problems with cleaning up.

The discs with heat set art are not a problem, as I can just use alcohol to clean up the pen ink pretty easily.

The problem I'm seeing is that many Blu-Ray discs have ink based / ink jet printed disc art. In short order alcohol dissolved ink all the way to the polycarbonate substrate. You've got a bare shiny spot of disc looking back at you.

I've tried an eraser, but as soon as the artwork gets warm it lifts off entirely to easily and I have the same problem.

Of course goof off and similar products will take off everything and are out of the question.

I suspect that there's nothing to be done here but I thought I'd ask if anyone else has had a better experience.

I used to make custom dvds this way, until I noticed the stickers would sometimes throw off the disc during playback. Some players handle this better than others, my old one couldn't deal as the weight and balance of the disc would get thrown off by the sticker, causing it to freeze up during playback. Plus over time the stickers lose sticky and start to warp or bubble up.

I'd say just deal with the uglyness of the ink, as long as the discs play is what really matters. Having ink on the cover would bother me more than on the disc itself as I look at covers more often than discs inside.
