I grew up watching their TV Show. Such good memories.

He was my favorite Monkee and I'm sure of many.

I knew it was a matter of time that one of them would go, being that a few members of The Beatles has already died.
It sure does make one feel older when people you grew up watching are dying.

Anyway, RIP.

When I was a kid, I loved going to my grandparents...to watch Nick at Night so I could see the Monkees. Davy Jones was my favorite singer. I knew of the Monkees before the Beatles and still prefer them. He will be missed! RIP Davy Jones.

From memory (without looking the names up or picking them out from videos, in other words) can anyone name the other members of the band?

For me, after the show canceled and time passed, I always remembered Davy Jones was a Monkeys member but never could recall the names of any of the other guys.

R.I.P. Davy.  Marcia Brady still loves you.

Well at least David Bowie can now go back to the name he wanted to call himself back in 1966 and that was  (Davey) Jones ... BUT there was another Davey Jones (superstar) in music and  on american soil...

So he thought and thought and came up with his moniker of David Bowie (After Jim Bowie)  ....
In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
