So I bought the 3 disc set of Titanic (THX)  back  in Feb 2006 ( Oct 05 release) .,  after 6 years!  I finally took the discs out of the jacket and looked at the extras on Disc 3.. the 45 min of deleted scenes were very interesting and well documented in it's commentary by Cameron himself .. 

Will look at and listen to the film's full audio commentary later today..  looking forward to this as I haven't seen this movie in 15 years .. Haven't made up my mind yet about venturing out and spending big bucks for my family and I to see this in 3D .. 
Very important milestone coming up this month for this historical disaster ....

Just realized that it's so long ago it was released that I actually saw it on VHS the first time I saw it. At least it was a widescreen VHS and not some pan&scan rubbish.

I think I only ever watched the last 20 minutes of Titanic once or twice and I don't intend to change that.

It was a true story about a painting being made of a nude woman standing on the bow of a ship with her arms outstretched, I think. The captain, jealous of Leonardo DiCaprio, crashed the ship into an iceberg.

I thoroughly enjoyed it . as a matter of fact I think in 15 years of past movies including the first three star wars films and the last Indiana Jones movie .. I can't seem to knock it .. 

No Wonder it won 11 academy  awards ..

I avoided this for years, determined not to see it, but finally broke down in 2006 after finding the 3 disc set at a used store for $6 and getting it for my girlfriend. I ended up watching with her, decent flick but not near the hype that surrounded it.
I actually found a review of the 3D while looking for another review, and another one for good measure. Sounds like they at least did a good job on it, and with 15 years to tinker I would hope so.

Clever story line, no wonder that the film became such a commercial success. Guess I'll buy the B-rD, along with The Abyss.

No interest in added dimensions, though.
