Whatever it is/was, I'm going to totally disagree with it, in the cause of generating some topical debate.  In fact, I’d go as far as to say it’s the most disgraceful thing I’ve ever heard in my life and threatens my whole world view.  These things are dangerous and should be challenge at every opportunity.  Good people of the world unite!  Actually I’m horrified.  In fact, I'm going to go and find 'someone important' right now and write him/her a very strongly worded e-mail.  It's vital that we don't allow this sort of thing to get out of hand, the outcomes could be far reaching and have consequences we can’t even conceive of at present.

Whilst I agree with many of the points you’ve made, I do feel strongly that some things are so fundamental to life that they should be considered immutable, with this being one of them.  Certainly the relationship between the philosophy and the reality are confused, but many people do however take them to mean one and the same thing, which doesn’t excuse the issue but does lead to a build up of secondary characteristics.  Without a dedicated, grass-roots approach, I’ve no doubt at all that we’re looking at an entire breakdown within 5 - 8 years; and that’s not even taking into account the unpredictable nature of the tertiary operations that are highly likely to become more pronounced as the quality of the approach becomes less related or interconnected to the  initial cause.  And I think that’s the crux of the matter really.
