I have a handful of DVDs... usually TV series (some NCIS Season sets come to mind)... that has an extra... Questions from the Fans.

My first instinct is Interview... but after watching.... seeing how it is done and with some of the questions asked I wonder if Other Features may be a slightly better fit.

Basically it is like this. A handful (most) of the main stars pf the series sitting around in a living room type setting. They have a selection of questions sent in from fans of their show. Sometimes hearing the questions off screen... sometimes they read the questions themselves off index cards... even seen once where they picked questions out of a bowl (forget which show this was) and read the question that way.

These questions may or may not have anything to do with the actor or show. I seen more then once where they ask questions on a personal matters much like writing into Dear Abbey or something. Though most do have to do with the cast members or the show they are on.

Like I said... my first instinct is that Interviews is still the best fit... but want to see what others think.

Yep, intervies sounds about right.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Actor Q&A = Interviews
Doesn't matter how the questions are submitted, I think.

I say Other Features.'

Definition

Quote:
noun
1.
a formal meeting in which one or more persons question, consult, or evaluate another person: a job interview.
2.
a meeting or conversation in which a writer or reporter asks questions of one or more persons from whom material is sought for a newspaper story, television broadcast, etc.
3.
the report of such a conversation or meeting.

It seems that by that definition that the person asking the questions meets the person to ask questions, or via some other "meeting" such as via phone or internet.

People sending in questions and having them answered does not meet the criteria of a meeting or conversation imo.

Yeah... I don't think how the questions come to them really matters.

Interview comes from "inter" and "view", which means that at least two persons are present.

There are 2 or more people present. Someone asking the questions (whether asking their own or reading a submitted question) and someone that is answering the question. Though I don't believe there needs to be.

Say for example an interviewer sends and interviewee his questions... say through an email or what have you. The interviewee sends back the answers to those questions... And this interview is made public whatever way... posted on a website or printed in a newspaper or what have you... this is still an interview
