| | Posted: | | | | In my collection I have many foreign language films (Hungarian, Chinese, Turkish, German, Russian) that appear nowhere on the Profiler database. I also have many documentaries that were made for foreign TV networks and never made it to festivals etc. Is there a way to contribute the title, year of origin and director´s name of these films to my collection without even trying to add them to the general online database??? |

| | Posted: | | | | You can add them locally to your database. Just go to "add DVD" and then enter the UPC like usual. It will tell you that it is not found and give you a blank slot to add it to. You can then edit the blank profile this will create as normal. Locally, you can add them anyway you want - many people use the database for homemade movies etc. I believe a prompt called Manual Profile (or something similar) pops up and keeps them numbered for you. |

| | Posted: | | | | You're talking to a person who started a thread called "Stupid questions"!  To enter a DVD via the Disc Id - all you need to do is put the disc into your computer. Go to Add DVDs to Collection > By Inserted Disc. (This is the same page you add via UPC or Title). You will need to be sure that you have profiler set to do this. Go to profiler and on the top of the page > Tools > Options > System > DVD-ROM Drive (make sure this is set to D:. If it is set to None - change it). To enter a DVD manually is easy too. Go to Add DVDs to Collection > Add by Title > On the bottom left you will need to untick the prompt that says Download Profile From Invelos. |
