| Posted: | | | | Hiya, Yesterday I contributed the new edition of "Une nuit en enfer" (From Dusk Till Dawn) that were denied because I didn't specify the UPC of the edition I used for cast & crew. Harsh, but fair, I should have remembered it. But then, a few hours later a contribution is approved ( link to the topic and link to a capture) and was a pile of ****. I'm sorry for the language but the title was fully capitalized, half the infos was missing and the other half was wrong and probably straight from an older dvd edition. I'm sorry, again, but how the hell can that get through ? I've always consider DVD Profiler to be a trustworthy source of informations but that was quite tarnished by the fact that this kind of contribution can get approved. |

| Posted: | | | | I know mistakes do happen, but to reject your contribution in favor of an ALL CAPS title and just an overview is pretty ludicrous. I share your concern and frustration. | | | 99.9% of all cat plans consist only of "Step 1." |

| Posted: | | | | I've forgotten to add the UPC before and had my contribution declined - it might even be a filter set up to automatically decline them.
All you need to do is resubmit the profile, document the UPC this time and the profile should be approved. |

| Posted: | | | | Oh, I did as soon as I saw it was declined, no problem there For me the problem is that the second contribution was approved and I don't see how could that be |

| Posted: | | | | My first guess was: Better contribution notes.
But after taking a look at the notes provided in this case, that isn't true. Only explanation left: Mistakes DO happen. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Alternative, copy cast and crew from whichever location looks the best/most accurate...then...check it yourself against the credits. You can then state the the cast and crew came from the credits and your contribution will be approved without question.
Sometimes I copy from another location; but I always check the credits so I never have a problem.
Just a suggestion. |

| Posted: | | | | I have the US 2 disc DVD and the Canadian Blu-ray. Neither profile matches what I have, but there are some questions about a couple common names. I would do an audit, but can't find solid proof for a couple names. I'll try and fix em then give ya the upc to look up. |

| Posted: | | | | Just cleared up and submitted the blu-ray 065935-820864 (less mangled than dvd profile, less to change/prove) profile with all the proper names as far as I can tell. I use thread results if available, clt if not. That should be as complete and correct a profile for this title, assuming no credit changes exist from region to region. Note this profile was just submitted so it won't be approved for a week or so at least, but you should be able to see it by adding that upc to your collection then looking at it. |
