| Posted: | | | | With your fingers crossed. I have yet to figure out a way to get a really decent scan of a lenticular cover. I usually try it a few times placing it on different areas of the scanner until a solid image comes through. I've seen a few members contribute some solid scans of lenticulars on a regular basis. Hopefully one will have a few tips for you. I generally replace them with the cover underneath for my local and lock 'em. They're just a bit cleaner for me. | | | The night is calling. Sometimes it helps to put some (slightly) rough foil between cover and scanner. Best result is usually to not scan at all, but taking a picture with a digital camera. This way you can set the lighting to give the best results. I use directed neon (7400K) with an angle of appr. 30° to the motive. A polarization filter is helpful too. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I have had moderate success in the past, but it's mostly been trial & error. Sometimes I can get decent results directly from my scanner, other times I need to take a picture with my digital camera. I'll be putting my skills to the test again next week with the Target exclusive Dark Knight Rises blu-ray...it's a lenticular book that shifts between Batman and Bane (you can see the 2 images clearly here). | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |
