Is there a way that you can link different UPCs to a profile?
For example if I look at ER: The Complete Eight Season in the DVD profiler database, the UPC is 9-325336-034637, however the copy I have is 9-325336-032374. The cover art and everything is the same (except obviously the bar code at the bottom of the back cover).
Is there some way to add this UPC to that profile so that in future if someone is adding by UPC they dont have to search by title to find it? |

This is because of different security systems in use in retailing and to make it easier to make sure the product gets to the correct dealer. There might be other differences such as Audio, Overview, MC etc. which you will need to change if applicable. If you do copy any data, such as Cast and Crew, when you contribute the new profile to the database, make sure you note the EAN or UPC that you took the information from in your documentation. |
