| | Posted: | | | | Hey guys. I've just begun adding contributions to the database. For new profiles that doesn't exist with UPC I've been locally creating a new profile and copied various data from existing approved profiles (such as Cast & Crew), and making changes that are related to the release I'm adding.
However, I just realized something today. In the Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark) it's far from uncommon that movie releases share the same UPC across all countries. Whenever there aren't any Norwegian (I live in Norway) profiles available for a movie, but a Nordic counterpart exist, I download that profile. Recently I've made changes to those profiles instead of creating a completely new profile. For instance, I change locality to Norway and make editions to the profile, adding Norwegian data, and then upload it. Is this the wrong way to go around it? Because I was thinking, don't that mean that I'm really just editing the profile I've downloaded instead of creating a new one?
I just checked UPCs of the movies I've changed locality and data, and it seems that the profile I originally used for my edits still exists. Is this something that is done at Invelos' end (a.k.a. more work for them)? | | | TV set: SONY KDL-52NX800 BD/DVD-player: LG BH8220BN 5.1

You say you've changed the locality to Norway. In that moment you already created a new profile and disassociated it from the original locality.

my profiler -->contributions
This is where you see the votes from other members. If you see any no votes... click on the votes and you will see reasons given for no votes.
If you find you did something wrong click on the title... and this will expand the options... there you will see a withdraw link. | | | | Pete |

| | Posted: | | | | Expanding on what Addidcted2DVD said - if you do make a mistake don't need to withdraw it to correct the data.
All you need to do is go back to your profile, fix any mistakes and resubmit the corrected contribution. This will automatically override your previous contribution. |

| | Posted: | | | | no... you just click on the vote numbers... it will then show you who voted and reasons for anyone that voted no. You have to give a reason for no votes. You can put comments in yes votes as well. | | | | Pete |

Go to the top of the page to My Profiler > Comtributions > Votes: Yes No. If people have voted and you click on Yes No, you can see who cast votes as well as any comments related to the contribution(s).
