I saw that my Lion King blu-ray was listed as having a Digital Copy.  I cam aware that sometimes a release originally comes with a digital copy, but then subsequent versions do not have it.  SO I check the Contribution notes:

Here they are...  as ypou can see no mention of digital copy.

I also checked the front and rear cover, which match mine:

Again, no mention of a digital copy.  There is also no digital copy disc listed in the disc details either, just the Blu-ray and DVD.

It seems as if it did have a digital copy, but why isn't it listed anywhere on the cover?

So I updated it and submitted it earlier today.  When I got home this evening I found these votes:

The 4-disc Lion King edition has the 3D blu-ray and digital copy.

My question, is if this is the case how come it isn't mentioned anywhere?  Also I did take exception to the snarky RULES vote.  If I knew that the original release did contain the digital copy I surely wouldn't have submitted it.

I'm going to withdraw it, and resubmit it tonight when I get home. Thanks!

Looks like you're correct. I know for a time if you registered your movie at DisneyMovieRewards.com, they gave you a streaming copy or something. But that's not the same thing.

With all the No votes, it might just be easier to resubmit with a link to this thread.

Thanks, I'll wait a while to see what everyone else thinks.  If it's true, I'm kinda surprised and shocked that it would garner so many no votes.  I'd have hoped if someone wase going to vote no they'd check their discs to make sure before submitting a no vote and not blindly following.

Edit:
Haha, just noticed you changed your vote.

I changed my vote from no to yes for the simple reason that I physically put both disc in my Blu-ray player and there is no Digital Copy on either the Blu or the DVD there is also no leaflet for a downloadable DC. The only extra viewable thing is the "Second Screen" and I don't believe that this is the same as a Digital Copy.

When I first voted no, there were about 10 no votes already. Digital copies are so common, especially on these releases that it seemed safe to vote with the others. So I'm guilty of following them blindly.  Personally, I don't use digital copies and it's never been an incentive for me when purchasing discs. So I've never really kept track.

I hear you, it probably would be an easy one to follow.  I also rarely use digital copies, but I do redeem them right away just in case I'd want to use in the future, and most expire at some point in time.
