Hey folks! I recently bought Schindler's List 20th anniversary collectors edition, and it isn't in the database. I was going to contribute it, but I have absolutely no idea how I can scan the boxset. A picture says more than a thousand words, so here is an unprocessed 'attempt' to scan the box: image

I tried googling the cover to see if any retail stores has a scan of the cover, but they only have a image with the box contents or an image of the box rotated.



Any suggestions on how I can pull this off?

It all depends on the scanner you have.

What you need to scan is only the front and back of the box (in the top left of the picture you provided). If it is small enough to fit lying down on the glass plate of the scanner, that'll be good enough. Most flatbed scanners I know will work even if the lid isn't closed.

If your scanner is too small, you could take a picture with a camera (cell phone camera?) and edit to correct any perspective distortions. Might take a bit of experimenting until it is right.

Unfortunately the only scanner I have available is an Epson Stylus PX700W. However, the box is only slightly larger than a regular blu-ray cover, but as you can see from the scan I did I don't think I can get it right using a scanner.
I tried taking photos with my HTC Titan, but I was very unhappy with the results. I think I would need very good lighting circumstances to make it seem even half decent.

I guess the only difference from the posted Amazon cover and the Norwegian release are the rating stamps. I could use that image as a base and place the rating stamps on it using GIMP. Here's the slip the box goes in:

Thank you for that confirmation, I actually read that exception but the fact that it specifically mentions the inner sleeve threw me off.
