A BY is needed to separate this actor from an actor who appeared in a Xena episode.

Problem is that most sites list a 1896 BY and a few list a 1899 BY for him.

Would you go with the majority 1896 BY or the 1899 BY?

Yes I know, but a google search for "Lawrence J. Keating" doesn't actually link to the actor directly.
When searching for that name in quotation marks, results come up for a doctor, some relative type results and a lawyer.

Here is a newspaper obit dated 1963 that states he was 67 when he died.

Agree with ateo357. I would go with the gravestone over most sites... unless I saw a lot of documentation the stone is wrong. But if it was you would think the family would get it fixed.
