I think that my update was voted down by name and not by UPC. Is it by any chance possible that another contribution (by Harry Cover) was already pending and possibly provided better documented data?
Please check for pending updates BEFORE contributing, and make sure your contribution actually adds value. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

| | Posted: | | | | Looking at the contribution history I'd ask what reasons people gave for voting no, I suspect it was around the fact a previous contribution had already provided cast and crew taken from the credits and that there were already better pending cover contributions.
It does mean some crew are missing from this profile and there's a very minor difference in a cast role, but then there's no guarantee which contribution has got it 100% correct without actually checking the credits.
If these were the reasons the voting doesn't seem unreasonable when your notes are basically you coped data from other titles, when other contributors have stated they've used the data from the film.

| | Posted: | | | | The contribution got no's (I was one of them) because all that was supplied was cover artwork which was exactly the same as what was already in there at the time (two days before someone else submitted better scans anyway). | | Posted: | | | | (1) At the time of the UPLOAD there were no pending contributions (picture or other wise) that I could see for this UPC. (They showed up after my upload) and I uploaded the best images of the two sets that were available and all actor/disc/description data.
(2) I took info from "Both" of the other two disc's and combined to make sure no data was missing.
(3) So when I accepted the NEWER contribution that was released, I had expected it not to be missing any data.. the biggest missing was the description of the movie!

I ask because the cover scans referred to were submitted on the 8th December, three days before your contribution, however they wouldn't have shown in the update comparison as they had not been accepted by the 11th. As for correct data I'm not convinced what you sumbitted cast and crew wise is correct, for example in the cast the current profile has Dr. Ken with a full stop as a cast role. In the one you copied there is no full stop. Why I'm not convinced is a later cast credit refers to Dr. Ken's assistant, in both profiles this has a full stop. I have no issues with copying existing accepted cast and crew where none exists in a profile, I do it myself, or it's clear that the existing data has been taken from a certain 3rd party source. For next time, please remember to tick the boxes in front of every data section on your contribution screen (= where you are asked to submit contribution notes). If you forget, the data in question will NOT be contributed. |
