Maybe simple to answer for some pros here but i got a little problem.

I recently bought the "Battlestar Galactica: Komplette Serie" (Amazon-Link)

It was not in the database with this ean.

But another version (Amazon-Link)
was already in the database and got the same disc-id but the whole boxset has a different ean than mine.

I dont know if its important, but the my boxset was 10 days earlier released than the limited edition.

Is it allowed to update the profiles for the discs to my boxset? The overview, coverscans, etc are all different and there are also a lot of crew-member missing.
Or is it all for my local database only?

I believe by rule, the earlier boxset takes precedence.  I cold be wrong though...  But either way it would be ok to update the cast & crew, or any information that isn't release specific.  That release date is recent.. it says Nov 14, 2013... but I'd bet most of those discs have been in the database for years.

I have a similar problem with this set, (Agatha Christie's) Poirot: The Early Cases Collection, Blu_ray, UPC 054961-882991. It contain series 1 thru 6, 13 discs. The UPCs and disc ID's are  the same, but the covers are different, a later release. ISo  would never contribute the covers or overviews because it is a later release. but the episodes are the same so I could contribute, say to the cast or crew.

I had about 7,300 profiles when I moved over here from InterVocative and a number of them have had their covers changed by later contributions, but who cares!
