Adaptation is somewhere in the middle of "Original Material" and "Screenwriting". It usually happens if the raw-material is promising but wouldn't work as film. In this cases the Studios and/or producers hire someone to transcribe the original to something that would work. After this work we usually find a screenwriter.

So my guess would be "No" and if only because we actually have no checkbox where it would really fit since it is neither exactly "Original" nor "Screenwriting" (since this happens after the adaptation).
