Invalid UPC - can't contribute |

I'm trying to contribute the Israeli deluxe 3D blu-ray edition fo the movie "Turbo". The UPC of the title is: 7-294276-192515 but it appears to be invalid (?)
Since this IS the UPC, I have no other way to contribute it. I preffer not to contribute with Disc-ID (there are 2 discs in the set anyways). Can someont tell me why this UPC is invalid? I checked the length (no. of digits) and it seems fine. Also, the DVD UPC is very close - 7-294276-292501 and it is valid. so what is the problem?

| | Posted: | | | | Yep, looks like they screwed up the EAN. Now what is interesting is if you drop the 7, first digit, and make it a UPC (29427629251) the check digit is a 5. It appears they took a valid UPC and simply added a prefix of 7 to it to try to make it an EAN. Unfortunately, that doesn't make it a valid EAN.

However on another point if you submit a back image of the profile be sure to note that the EAN on the back is incorrect because of a misprint and reference this thread. Because you don't want the contribution declined because the EAN on the back image does not match the EAN contributed. I have had to do that before in this type of condition. |
