For example.

From the rules.

Do not enter media types (such as "Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy") into the edition or title field.

There was topic about that a few weeks ago.

Some argued that the rule only applied to cover headers such as

"Blu-ray + DVD"
"Blu-ray + Digital Copy"
"Blu-ray 3D + Blu-Ray + DVD"

and so forth but not to

"Special Extended DVD Edition"
"The Complete Blu-ray Collection"

Others argued that the media type must always be omitted, thus

"Special Extended Edition"
"The Complete Collection"

As usual the forum was pretty much devided in half.

I never included the media type "DVD" in edition field for a DVD, or "Blu-ray Disc" in edition field for a Blu-ray Disc.

Personally I think if it is a media type that is clearly in the edition field like this it should be included.  The rule on media type was really intended for the media banners on releases

However I am in the minority.  Most would rather not put the edition exactly as it is on the cover.

There were discussions about this with "Star Trek" (2009).  the cover clearly has the edition of "3-Disc Digital Copy Special Edition" and it is in the DB as "3-Disc Special Edition".

I don't think we should be "editing" an edition field because it contains a media type.  But like I said, I am in the minority.

I agree with Scooter and even believe there is a thread somewhere where Ken himself confirmed this. I will try to find it... but I am limited on time to be online today.

I am with Scooter as well, we should not be editing actual editions.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I agree as well. I don't see the point of removing the media type if it's part of the edition title and don't interpret the rules as requiring that.
