Are episode previews Feature Trailers? |

To be honest I don't understand the value of this "feature", but should they be listed as Feature Trailers? IMHO Trailers and TV-spots are marketing material which these are not, but I have no idea if they have ever been aired, so that they could be counted as TV-spots. |

| | Posted: | | | | Absolutely... they are TV Spots for the episodes that are included in the set. Is no different then a trailer for the movie that is on the disc for any movie disc.
And the rules even specifically mention TV Spots. | | | | Pete |

If these 'previews' were included separately to each episode (ie. as part of the bonus features) then I would say they would be classed as TV spots. But, these aren't. They're just 'tonight on' segments that appear at the beginning of each episode.
'Murder, She Wrote' has these as well but they're NOT extras or bonus features; they're just part of each episode.

But as a bonus... like I see on the DVDs for True Blood... you have the menu for the episode... on that menu you have the choice of selecting to play the episode OR selecting to play the preview of the episode.

| | Posted: | | | | I can confirm that Kulju IS, in fact, talking about previews that are on the disc as a separate entity to each episode. Therefore, placing them firmly in the category of TV Spot. I've just confirmed this with my own copy. |

I just contributed some changes for this exact title/feature. I'm fairly certain that for HBO shows, the "previews" that appear on their DVDs/Blu-rays with each episode did air on TV after the previous episode to promote the next week's. Perhaps they're edited slightly to remove the "Next week on..." card, but they're essentially TV spots or TV trailers if you will. I feel these previews qualify with the rules so long as they are standalone bits selectable from the menus as they are here. For example, this spot aired after the premiere of Game of Thrones Season 2, Episode 2 to promote Episode 3. This same ad appears on the Blu-ray as the Episode 3 episode "preview". | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection
