Hi,

Maybe it's a stupid question, but I rather ask it instead of entering wrong data.

In many movies there are multiple studios involved and many credits are like this...
... presents
in association with ...
an ... Production

I'm auditing Fast & Furious 6 and the credits are like this...
Universal Pictures presents
in association with Relativity Media
an Original Film / One Race Films Production

Now the question
Are the ones in bold 1 or 2 studios?
I always added them seperatly.
For me these are 2 studios: 'Original Film' and 'One Race Films'.
But in many profiles they add them as 1 studio 'Original Film / One Race Films'.

So should I add them as 2 different or as 1 studio?

Greets,
Mitch.

Google is your friend.

Based upon a quick google search, it is two different companies, founded by two different people.

If it isn't Unix, it isn't an OS :-)

2 studios
2 entries
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Agreed. One I noticed recently is The Wolf of Wall Street which lists "An Appian Way and Sikelia Production" in the credits. I believe several profiles currently list them together as "Appian Way and Sikelia". Of course, these are 2 different production companies. Appian Way being Leonardo DiCaprio's and Sikelia being Martin Scorsese's.

presents: (Universal presents)...usually indicates the distributor....may or may not be one of the production companies involved in the making of a film.

an Original Film / One Race Films Production: the 2 main (or "authors", if you will) production companies...can also be shown in 2 lines:

an
Original Films
One Race Films
production / co-production

As others have stated, 2 separate companies

in association with: secondary production companies/usually investors/companies that put up money but (usually) are not involved in the actual film production

Relativity Media (US)
Dentsu (Japan)
