Howdy,

Sorry, I'm very new to this  :-)

I was trying to add UPC 096009-754396 which is a triple combo of The Prophecy, The Prophecy II, and The Prophecy 3: The Ascent on a single double-sided DVD.

It's not a box set - so how would I add it?  (the cover gives them all equal billing)

Also, semi-related, is there a way to provide something like a IMDB reference number to automatically pull in much of the info?

Thanks,
David

First of all: welcome to the Asylum!

So what I'm gathering from your story is that you have a double-sided DVD with one movie on one side and two on the other, right?

Now, by DVD Profiler definitions that would be a box set, for which you would have to create a so-called "parent profile" for the UPC and then two "child profiles" for each disc side by Disc ID.

In the child profile for the disc side containing two movies, you would separate the cast and crew data for the two movies using episode dividers.

Please read the contribution rules for more details.

For the central Invelos database the use of IMDb data is not allowed for legal reasons, so if you intend to contribute to the central database IMDb data are a big no-no. DVD Profiler uses the actual movie credits as its primary source for cast and crew data.
If you choose to keep all cast and crew data local, then of course you can use IMDb data. If I'm not mistaken, there are (or were) user-developed plug-ins that can (or could) assist you with it. But I'm not familiar with those.
