What is the right title of the German mediabook of Inside Llewyn Davis?
This is the cover:

On the cover it says
Inside Llewyn Davis
2 Disc Special Edition
includes booklet and
the documentation
Another Day Another Time

Should the title just be Inside Llewyn Davis or Inside Llewyn Davis / Another Day Another Time?
Think different

Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.

Why? I would think another Day another time is just an extra.

My guess would be just Inside Llewyn Davis

Even if we need both titles we don't separate titles with "&".... we use "/".

As Addicted2DVD I also would prefer Inside Llewyn Davis as title.
For me this is the 2 Disc Special Edition of Inside Llewyn Davis with Another Day Another Time as bonus featute.
It says includes booklet and documentation on the cover.
Think different

Can't go by that alone... don't mean the second disc disc isn't a bonus feature disc....

And where in the rules does it say to use "&"? We have always used "/" to separate 2 titles... I would vote no to anything else (which I would have just as much right to do as you would to attempt to us "&").

i see no second titel on your pic for Hobbit. the publisher for "Inside Llewyn Davis" Arthaus list the set as two seperate titels.

"We have always used "/" to separate 2 titles... I would vote no to anything else "

i know... but i not always refer the rules. in this case is it not defined. which is not mandatory, can not be wrong.

Based on many of your posts, it seems to me that you are having a lot of trouble with the contribution process.

You might want to do some research not only on the rules but also invelos' collected statements on contributing: http://invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=430575

It might also be helpful to search the forums, I find using google > invelos: topic, for information.

It is not possible to make a list of rules to cover every situation. Ken has even stated so here:  http://invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=667247&PageNum=10".

Quoting Ken:

"One-off rulings on individual titles are a waste of time - there is always a new twist available to cast a slightly different shade of gray, and users cannot be expected to scour the forums on a title-by-title basis.  Similarly, refining and complicating the rules to satisfactorily contain each of these new variants is an exercise in futility.

Local databases can support an infinite variety of variants for title and other fields, and the local locks are available to make those changes permanent.  With this in mind, hopefully the supporters on both sides of this and other similar debates can agree that the direction of a decision here is less important that the fact of a decision.  Consistency for submission to the online is possible and what we should shoot for.  Agreement on how it "should be" is neither possible nor (thankfully) necessary."

On a personal note, I have done a lot of contributing and think I have a fairly good understanding of the rules and how contributions should be submitted.

I've come to realize that there are always going to be contributions that are not specifically covered by the rules. As Ken has stated above, the important thing is for the contributions remain consistent.

There are ways that titles could be separated. So, you are correct that "...in this case is it not defined. which is not mandatory, can not be wrong." The problem is that sentiment can be applied to thousands of issues.

The US profile standard is to use "/" to separate titles. And, in my opinion, for the sake of consistency this is the way it should be done.

You do understand that I am only talking about contributing to the online database.

Locally the database can be formatted any way one wants. But, be sure and lock that data so it doesn't get overwritten with updates.

The documentation "Another Day Another Time" obviously is a Bonus Feature.

So (IMO) the Bonus Film -rule applies:

Title: Inside Llewyn Davis
Edition: 2 Disc Special Edition

Data of main-feature belongs into the parent-profile
Data of "Another Day Another Time" belongs into a child profile
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

@Kathy

i understand your statement. but it this userfriendly? new users have to search the rules via google? i dont think so. here is always referred to any things, which are hidden somewhere in the forum. why would the rules not updated with the content from your posted links? thats help all of us and makes some discussions unnecessary.

cheers emmeli
