Have you ever had this scenario?

Most of the time if you have a Wendecover with an FSK label on the outside and a "good looking" cover on the reverse you do not have a barcode on the inside label.

Sometimes you do.

But this time, with Escape Plan you have two different barcodes!

On the outside (with the FSK label) it says 4-010324-039361.
On the inside (without the FSK label) it says 4-009750-396674.

*scratches head*

I didn't even notice it until my inside cover scan contribution for the outside EAN was rejected.

Strange things happen.
Maybe a misprint? Or the back cover. of an earlier release?
Or maybe it's a ghost profile....

I suppose it will take some time to beat the grin out of my face now

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Actually, it's not as complicated after all (or even more complicated?).

The cover scan has the same barcode on both sides of the scan:

It is the case that has a different "addon" barcode

Currently the database has both profiles. But only the cover scan barcode has a cover image, because a covers can with the correct barcode is kind of hard to reproduce.

4-010324-039361 = Retail (Concorde Home Entertainment)
4-009750-396674 = Rental (EuroVideo Medien)

Was this visible from the outside before opening the case? In that case I would handle that as a barcode replaced by a sticker, so the sticker counts and x674 it is.

If not x361.

Photoshop or similar is your friend for that case.
