No, no and no.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Man are you negative today ...
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

There is, as always, a difference between what we'd like and what the rules actually allow. Here, that means that while I wholeheartedly agree that I don't particularly want to track "Supervising Directors" - I'm not doing that, and I intend to keep it that way - the contribution rules do actually allow them to be listed. "Animation Directors" and "Storyboard Directors" are definitely out, though.

Do include "Supervising" credits in the above categories, examples: "Supervising Art Director", "Makeup Supervisor", except where explicity forbidden above.

See? As far as the rules are concerned, there's absolutely no difference between Art Director <-> Supervising Art Director and Director <-> Supervising Director. Both examples are equally valid per the rules. Again, this isn't something I'm happy with, I've always managed to ignore it and will continue to do so, but when someone asks whether this is allowed, I think we should at least have a look at the actual contribution rules instead of only stating our own personal preference...

I did not state my own personal preference.  As you are well aware, for the last decade or so, we have only ever credited the main director...the one credited as 'Director' or 'Directed by'.  While I wasn't eloquent about it, that is all I stated.

Yet another example of Ken giving in to a few users and creating a rule without considering the consequences which, in this case, will end up screwing up a credit that has never had an issue.
