I have these two profiles in my database:

Evangelion: 2.22: You can (not) advance

All Regions

Released: 17.09.2010

Widescreen 1.78:1

Evangelion: 1.11 - You are (not) alone

All Regions

Released: 16.07.2010

Widescreen 1.85:1

One with a colon, one with a hyphen. Which one is correct?

Colon, per Titles rules:

Quote:
Episode descriptors are part of the title; separate them with a colon and space; e.g. "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock". For multiple descriptors, use a colon and space for each break.

How many episodes of "Evangelion: 1.11" and "Evangelion: 2.22" do we have?

But why is that an episode? For that matter why are the Star Trek films episodes?

Ken has addressed the Title question(s) in the Men in Black thread: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=667247&messageID=2082773.

Consistency is the goal and. as far as the colon or hyphen issue, the generally accepted practice has been the use of the colon.

Because they are considered installments in a serialized story, each with its own title.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

It's episodes of Evangelion actually with different versions of each. There are 3 mail episodes/films so far:

1.0 You Are (Not) Alone
2.0 You Can (Not) Advance
3.0 You Can (Not) Redo

and 4.0 is set for 2015 last I heard.  Each of the first three also have update / Driector cuts (the x.YY versions).

The series of files is actually called "Rebuild of Evangelion" since it's a rebuild/re-imaging of the original TV series.

No, the generally approved practice is the use of the hyphen. At least where I live.

None. There's neither a colon nor a hyphen on the cover:

Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo

You forgot to mention the clearly visible punctuation mark at the end of the titles.

You're trying to trick the users, aren't you?

Correct are:

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone.
Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.
Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.
