going over the credits for Taken 3. The principal crew from the film opening credits are without accents and have a credit of screenwriters and 3 crew for sound.
from the film ending credits they list some of the principal crew again with accents in their names and instead of screenwriters they are credited as writers. The sound guys in the ending credits have specified jobs  such as PSM, SSE.
what credits per invelos do we use. I found nothing in the rules but - Crew and Cast
Take Crew Credits from the film credits only; list names exactly as they are in the credits. Exception: If the credit information is entirely capitalized, use standard capitalization rules instead.

Has Ken specified opening credits trump ending credits in a thread somewhere.

For the purposes of this section we define "standard" film credits as those where all credited actors involved are listed at the end of the film - defined here as the "end credits". The section details both the actor’s Name and the Role that they played in the film. The credits may be listed "in order of appearance", "alphabetical order" or in an order of importance decided by the filmmakers. Some actors may be credited a second time in either credits at either the opening or close of the film.

Pretty sure we go with the closing credits as indicated above.

If the crew are listed in both the opening and closing credits, use the closing credits. If ONLY in the opening credits, use the opening credits.
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

I would agree with this. That's what I was trying to say.

amazing -> so many boys a long time in here and discussing stuff with ancurrent rules...

f. e. "If the crew are listed in both the opening and closing credits, use the closing credits. If ONLY in the opening credits, use the opening credits."

this is past.
Why don't you read the current rules (?) and try to to understand them?

Nice answer - FO. This is the first time I've come across a film credit with complete principal crew in the ending.
And since there is nothing in the rules per crew about this issue, I asked.  What a doucebag.

I have no idea what you are talking about here.  The current rules do not address this situation so there is nothing to read nor is there anything to try and understand.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I checked the credits and if it were me, they get all the roles they are credited with; screenwriters, writers, PSM, etc. There are also several roles missing from the end credits. You will have to go with common name for the issue about accents.
