Would it be possible to add new DVDs from the Mobile version? If it is a problem to have the mobile download the data itself, you could only add the UPC no or the title of the movie and download the data on next sync.

You can add titles.  Do a lookup by UPC.  If the title is found, add it from the list.  If not, select "Add" under "No matches by UPC".
