Credit from different movie versions |

As far as I know, we take data (running time) from the longest version of a film.
For the most titles this rules is good enough, because all other data is identical.
Now I came across Disney's Beauty and the Beast. The Blu-ray has the normal theatrical cut and a longer special edition on it.
This versions also differ in the credited studios.
The special editions has logos for Walt Disney Pictures and Walt Disney Animation Studios, followed by Walt Disney Pictures presents The SPECIAL EDITION of Beauty and the Beast.
The theatrical versions has the same credits, but following the Walt Disney Pictures presents comes the credit In association with Silver Screen Partners IV.
My question is how to handle this credits?
Enter both Disney Companies (Animation Studio is only listed with the logo and not in the written credits)?
and
Enter Silver Screen Partners IV from the theatrical version of the film? | | | Think different

| | Posted: | | | | It's hard to say what's the "right" thing to do, but I can tell you what I would do. Personally, I would enter Disney once, in the form of the written credit, and include Silver Screen Partners IV as well. |

I searched a bit on the in internet and according to wikipedia, the company Walt Disney Animation Studios wasn't called that way until 2006.
At the time of releasing Beauty and the Beast the company was called Walt Disney Feature Animation.
The credit was likely made for the Blu-ray/DVD release.
For now, I made a contribution without Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Actually the Rule says (and this has been pointed out to me in the past): "For branching titles, or those with multiple versions (e.g. Theatrical and Director's Cut) on the same disc, use the longest running time" (my emphasis) So if the Theatrical ad DC are on different discs be prepared to have to use one as a child profile to show the different running times | | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
