The only other writing credit is for Linda Woolverton as screenwriter. Are those really valid story by credits? | | | Think different

Some of those credited with story in the screenshot above went on to be writers/directors in their own rights. Are the directors of these movies just glorified animators? | | Posted: | | | | You can read about the writing process of Beauty and the Beast on wikipedia.
Apparently BatB was the first Disney animation film with an actual screenplay, written by Linda Woolverton.
Before that most films were "written" with storyboards.
The screenplay of BatB was reworked by storyboard artists, changing several aspects of the story.
I assume the people credited for story are those storyboard artist. | | | Think different

But this movie has several "normal" screenwriting credits.
In my opinion those credits should be valid, when no normal writing credit is present. Same for the Story credits.
What do you think?
Which would mean:
Valid credit: Jungle Book
Invalid credits: Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan | | | Think different
