The English translation would be "Based on an idea by".
The existing profile has a "Developed by" entry for this credit but I'm not completely sure about this credit. | | | Think different

If there was only an idea without a definitive product, it should be something in between Developed by or Created by...

But then again, since we're in the DVDP parallel universe here, I'm not sure that would count for anything. While I could also argue towards the rule fetishists that an idea does not meet the Invelos description "Adapted from another work.", since an idea is not "another work". |

What might tilt the resolution towards OMB, however, is that credits such as Developed by or Created by imply that the person in question was directly involved in (the early stages) of the production of the film, whereas "nach einer Idee von" (based on an idea by) suggests the person in question was NOT involved in the production of the film.
It would seem that nothing fits this type of credit like a glove. |
