Hello

I ordered two 4K Ultra HD films including the Blu-ray. So a Combo with 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. Do I enter it in the database just as Blu-ray? Thanks, Fritz

Right now we don't have an option to contribute UHD Blu-ray discs.  Per the rules these should be listed under the main media type which in this case in UHD Blu-ray.

Quote:
Sets containing the same film on multiple media types (such as a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack) are to be entered as a normal profile for the main media type (Blu-ray in this example), with all included media types checked. A combo which includes HD media (HD-DVD, Blu-ray) as well as DVD should use the details from the HD media in the main profile. However, you may add an additional profile by Disc ID for the DVD content and add this profile to the Box Set contents for the Blu-ray profile.

The program also needs to account for new audio types (i.e. Atmos, etc.) and UHD Blu-ray Disc IDs.

Since there is no option for 4K... I would think there is little you can do for the online but submit the blu-ray and mention the 4k in other features??

DVD Profiler will need an update before these are contributable.
99.9% of all cat plans consist only of "Step 1."

I see, will do it as Blu-ray and 4k in Other Features and mark them internal to correct them later. It would be nice to have such features before a new medium is starting up and not always behind. This way we are forced to more work, to keep them tracked and to make corrections later. Why can such things not happening even every year not be done in advance so it's ready for the startup?

Other problem will be the Disc-ID's. Think we will miss them for a longer time as nobody has a 4k UHD player in the PC, so no readout will be possible.

For now you can make a tag locally for any of the items not selectable in the program, then when the time comes you will be able to sort by your tag and have just that list to make changes.
